LIFE is BEAUTIFUL!

WISDOM

To understand reality is not the same as to know about outward events. It is to perceive the essential nature of things. The best-informed man is not necessarily the wisest. Indeed there is a danger that precisely in the multiplicity of his knowledge he will lose sight of what is essential. But on the other hand, knowledge of an apparently trivial detail quite often makes it possible to see into the depth of things. And so the wise man will seek to acquire the best possible knowledge about events, but always without becoming dependent upon this knowledge. To recognize the significant in the factual is wisdom. Dietrich Bonhoeffer:

THOUGHTS TO PONDER

Life is a train of moods like a string of beads; and as we pass through them they prove to be many colored lenses, which paint the world their own hue, and each shows us only what lies in its own focus.---RALPH WALDO EMERSON

Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.---ABRAHAM LINCOLN
There is neither happiness nor misery in the world; there is only the comparison of one state to another, nothing more. He who has felt the deepest grief is best able to experience supreme happiness. We must have felt what it is to die, that we may appreciate the enjoyments of life.---ALEXANDRE DUMAS
“It is not because the truth is too difficult to see that we make mistakes... we make mistakes because the easiest and most comfortable course for us is to seek insight where it accords with our emotions - especially selfish ones" --- Alexander Solzhenitsyn quotes (Russian novelist, Nobel Prize for Literature (1970), b.1918)
“Wisdom ceases to be wisdom when it becomes too proud to weep, too grave to laugh, and too selfish to seek other than itself.” ---Kahlil Gibran

Moods of good and bad

Yesterday was one of the best. I remember just a few days ago I spoke with a friend and we came talking on some people's attitude and character that in some way affect our moods. It's very true that people have different personalities and some can be really good or bad beyond imagination. In some instances bad especially those who are supposedly closest to our hearts and we  supposed to believe who will care the most. Of course we heard a lot of people say never to expect but I personally believe we should be aware of what and who we deserve.

The people around us affect how our moods and dealings in some aspects and if we are in situations of struggling to be happy due to the people we keep, I don' t think it's wiser to hang on to that. By time we can be like them and we can probably mess our lives and so the other people around us, talking about the domino effect.

I'm thankful my work inspires me in many ways as I deal with these young, energetic and lovely students. To add, my colleagues are fun, too and we go along well.

I gave some activities yesterday for students to speak of anything about themselves and as a teacher I was glad that the activities came out well. It was a sense of joy hearing them loving studying English and loving their teacher.

I know I love what I do and I'm glad doing my best every single thing related to it and these students being glad at the same time is more than whatever reward I can think of. Being with them makes me strive to keep doing my best relentlessly.

My  yesterday ended with another kind gesture from the guards at the university. They don't really get involved on getting a cab and I never asked but one approached me yesterday and asked me if I needed a cab and I said yes. He then used his handset and it was not just that, he drove his bike to the gate to get the taxi himself. Later the cab came with another guard in it leading  the cab driver to where I was.

I thought it was so nice of them to do something for me, the best, I didn't ask for it.

It makes me think if one experiences most of the kindness from people around, for sure the mood will be  a lot better and having a good feeling inspires also those people who are happy to make others happy.

It's not bad to choose, life is a choice and I'd rather live with the positive minded individuals and those having good dispositions. I just simply want to be in a good mood most of the time. Experience wise, it taught me a lot.
